The Public Assistance Emergency Hospital confirmed in a statement that the 19-year-old student shot this Friday in a march called by the Confederation of Students of Chile (Confech), is out of vital risk. According to the first information, the shot was fired by a Carabineros official.
“Regarding the clinical situation of the 19-year-old patient admitted to the Public Assistance Emergency Hospital for an injury attributable to a projectile in the chest region, we inform that he was referred by SAMU ambulance from the Santa Lucía sector,” they said in the statement.
