The Ministry of Health made a new balance on the situation of Covid-19 in the country, where 14,525 new cases were reported, of which 8,505 correspond to symptomatic people and 2,386 did not present symptoms. In addition, 3,634 positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 3,368,704 and recovered patients reached 3,256,747 since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile
On the other hand, the death of 93 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 44,339 since the start of the pandemic, while positivity reached 13.35% nationwide.
As for active cases, these reached 59,220 people and PCR tests amounted to 104,950 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 34,515,210.
Meanwhile, there are 851 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 686 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 2,460 critical beds enabled and 278 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 11.11%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, Ñuble, Biobío and Los Ríos.
