They assault chicken delivery truck in Lambaré and take G. 1,500,000

Around 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, an armed robbery occurred at the intersection of Carapegua and Piribebuy streets, in the Cañada San Miguel de Lambaré neighborhood.

The victims were two workers from the Pechugon company, who were during business hours delivering some orders to customers in the neighborhood.

Two men on a motorcycle intercepted the delivery truck and pointed guns at the occupants in order to demand that they hand over the money.

At one point, the driver decided to speed up to try to flee, although he was finally caught up by the thugs half a block from the site.

The authors of the assault managed to get away with the sum of G. 1,500,000 in cash, money that was in the wallet of one of the workers of the Pechugon company.

The Cryo. Walter Beaufort, head of Police Station 13 in Asunción, confirmed to 780 AM that no one has been detained for the assault so far, although the pertinent investigations have already begun to try to identify the perpetrators.
