Coritiba overcame the second phase of the Copa do Brasil after defeating Pouso Alegre 3-2 in the penalty shootout, after a 1-1 draw in the 90 minutes, on Thursday night (10) at Manduzão.

Coxa even opened the scoring with the ball rolling, at 5 minutes into the second half, when the Uruguayan Guillermo de los Santos scored after taking advantage of the ball. However, Pouso Alegre managed to equalize the score in the 34th minute, thanks to a goal from outside the area of midfielder Gledson.
With that, the spot for the third phase of the national competition had to be decided in the penalty shootout, where Coritiba scored with Henrique, Val and Régis, while Andrey saw goalkeeper Cairo take his kick. The home team failed more, with Elivélton Foguinho, Nando and João Marcos, while Luanderson and Gledson scored.
