The Cajicá mayor’s office intervened in the work that was being carried out on the Rancho MX property.

The animal rights collective called ‘Coalition Colombia without Bullfighting’, reported that a bullring was being built in an area near the Rancho MX restaurant, located in the municipality of Cajicá, Cundinamarca.
This commercial establishment owned by Pipe Bueno and Luisa Fernanda W, a national entertainment couple.
According to the complaint of the animalists, the mayor’s office verified the place and found that said work under construction was a “portable” bullring, which according to the legal representative of Rancho MX, would not be intended for bullfighting but musical.

The mayor’s office of Cajicá spoke about the execution of this work and stressed that bullfighting activities have not been carried out in this Cundinamarca municipality for a long time.
“Once the documents and databases that rest in the municipal central archive were carefully reviewed, it was verified that in the last 15 years in the administration there have been no bullfighting events, cockfights, bullfights or shows of the coleo type” , said the mayor of the municipality.

In accordance with these facts, the local authorities proceeded to stop the work.
“The construction was sealed by the municipal authority and days later disarmed,” says the newsletter.

Until the moment of this publication, both Pipe Bueno and Luisa Fernanda W have not spoken about this situation. Nor has the restaurant done so formally through some kind of statement.
Meanwhile, ‘Coalition Colombia without Bullfighting’, He announced that he will continue to fight for the cessation of these bullfighting activities until bullrings are constitutionally prohibited as a place of entertainment.
