The plenary session of Congress approved the two interpellation motions presented against The Minister of Health, Hernán Condori, which are based on the questions for not having the due suitability for the exercise of the position.
The first motion passed 77 in favor, 33 against, 1 abstention; while the second was approved by 76 votes in favor, 34 against and 1 abstention.
After the vote, the Board of Directors ordered that the session be held on Wednesday, March 16 at 9 in the morning, three hours before the interpellation of the head of the Justice portfolio, Ángel Ydelfonso, takes place.
It is questioned that the head of the Minsa is investigated by the Temporary Corporate Provincial Prosecutor’s Office Specialized in Corruption Crimes of Officials of La Merced, in Junín, for the crime of improper collection and incompatible negotiation.
Likewise, it warns about the complaint filed by the High-Level Consultative Team of the Minsa for not having the “conditions for an autonomous and consistent exercise of the assignment.”
“Even the Medical Association of Peru, which represents the medical community in the country, has publicly demanded the resignation of the Minister of Health, Hernán Yury Condori Machado, for all the facts that have been exposed previously”indicates motion No. 2065 presented by Renovación Popular.
