The motion of censure against Health Minister, Hernan Condori, was entered for processing at the table by the Congress this Wednesday, March 2, after 33 congressmen subscribed to the initiative formulated by the Fuerza Popular bench.
The measure was backed primarily by lawmakers from The Country Advances, Popular Renewal and Podemos Peruwho support the departure of Condori Machado from the Ministry of Health due to lack of suitability to assume the position.
In this regard, the motion of censure indicates that the head of Health would have incurred in “a series of complaints for functional misconduct, alleged acts of corruptionacts against ethics in professional practice, which can lead to attacks against public health.
Likewise, the document entered for processing considers the resignation of the High-Level Consultative Team (ECAN) of the Minsa, which indicated that the conditions do not exist for “an autonomous and consistent exercise of its responsibilities.”

Last Tuesday, March 1, the Minister of Health, Hernan Condorireiterated that he will not resign from the aforementioned position, despite the fact that banks, medical unions and organized civil society they demand his departure from the Minsa for a series of questions against him.
“I am going to work until the last minute that the president allows me. He has invited me and all I have to do is serve the people. We have the support of the people and the president. People see me go to every corner of the country,” Condori said in a dialogue with TV Peru.
Previously, Condori had indicated that if a motion of interpellation or censure was presented against him, it would be presented in Congress to give his defense.
