BCP allocates S/68 million to modernize the Javier Heraud IE in Trujillo

In order to improve educational quality in La Libertad, the Banco de Crédito del Perú (BCP) began an ambitious renovation project at the Javier Heraud Educational Institution, located in Trujillo. The initiative, which is part of the Works for Taxes mechanism, involves an investment of S/68 million to optimize initial, primary and secondary education services.

According to the SBS, to ensure their viability, cooperatives face the challenge of working on the professionalization of their technical staff, strengthening their credit processes, their internal control system and their comprehensive risk management.

The land handover ceremony, which marks the beginning of this work, brought together authorities from the Regional Government of La Libertad, representatives of the BCP and the construction company in charge. During the event, the relevance of the project to reduce gaps in educational infrastructure and offer better opportunities to thousands of students was highlighted.

“At BCP we believe that education is the basis for building a more prosperous and equitable future. For this reason, we continue to support initiatives that reduce gaps in educational infrastructure and allow thousands of students to access appropriate spaces for their learning and comprehensive development,” said Marco Aiquipa, manager of Institutional Projects at BCP.

The purpose of the project is to renew and modernize the facilities of the educational institution, providing it with high-quality spaces and equipment that benefit both students and teaching and administrative staff. This improvement is expected to have a significant impact on learning opportunities and quality of life in the community. It should be noted that the project includes the preparation of the technical file and the construction of the work.

With more than S/ 1,000 million invested through Works for Taxes since 2010, the BCP is consolidated as a key actor in the development of projects that generate significant changes in the country. This commitment reaffirms its priority to strengthen educational infrastructure and contribute to the progress of thousands of Peruvians.
