The Nicaraguan singer-songwriter Carlos Mejía Godoy, through an audio that he shared with people who have shown solidarity with him, confirmed that his home – located in the United States – was consumed by flames before his eyes and those of his relatives.
«A few hours have already passed of this hell that we have experienced. See, from outside our house, how that apartment where we have accumulated our love, self-denial, dreams, were dissipating, enveloped by flames,” Mejía indicated in his communication.

Furthermore, he indicated that they were moments that until now continue to be difficult for him to narrate, but, he highlighted, “God is great and gives us the strength to face this reality and everything that comes.”

The Pinolero singer-songwriter described his losses as “very hard, very lacerating,” although he assured that “we are already seeing the horizon again.”
