Santo Domingo.- The president Luis Abinader reported this Friday that the National Drug Control Agency (DNCD) and the United States Department of Drug Administration (DEA) are preparing a report on the seizure of 9.8 tons of cocaine in Puerto Caucedo.
«We are going to continue collaborating and come the information you are doingthe report that the DNCD and the DEA are going to make,” he said.
Abinader reiterated that we must wait for the information from the competent bodies and described the incident as one of the largest seizures in Latin America.

«We are going to wait for the information from the DNCD and the DEA. We have great collaboration with Guatemala and other countries in the fight against drug trafficking; in this which has been the largest seizure, not only in the history of the Dominican RepublicI think from all of Latin America. “Therefore, the important thing is that it has been a great blow against drug trafficking,” he said.
The president also described the event as an important blow against corruption.
