A paternity test carried out in a laboratory of the USA confirmed that the politician Abel Martinez it’s not him biological father of a minor residing in said country, as stated by his mother on social networks at the end of last August.
The result was announced this Friday by the legal team of the former candidate for the Presidency of the Republic for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD).
It indicates that, with the result of the test, carried out in a laboratory selected by the plaintiff, a complex process is concluded that was faced “with maturity, transparency and adherence to legal procedures.”

Since last Saturday, August 31, the country’s media reported on the case of alleged paternity involving the former presidential candidate of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Abel Martínez. The controversy arose after public accusations made by a woman, identified Keire Vargaswho reported that Martínez had refused to take a DNA test to “verify that he is the father of her son.”
The case gained media relevance after Vargas made a “live” on Instagram, where he declared that Martínez had “abused his innocence” more than a decade ago.
According to his version, the politician would have fathered a child with her when she was a minor, alleging that she was 16 years old and worked in activities related to his political campaign. Vargas claimed that during that period she was naive and vulnerable, which allegedly facilitated manipulation by Martínez.
In response, The politician, through his legal team, clarified that when he had a romantic relationship with Mrs. Vargas, both were of legal age and single.
“This relationship was very short-lived, and during its course, both acted consensually,” noted the publication at the time.
