Brazil has reached 28,744,050 people infected with the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic. In 24 hours, 73,808 positive diagnoses of covid-19 were confirmed. Yesterdaythe pandemic information panel administered by the Ministry of Health had 28,670,242 accumulated cases.
The number of cases being monitored for covid-19 is 2,012,626. The term is given to designate cases reported in the last 14 days that were neither discharged nor progressed to death.
The number of deaths due to complications caused by covid-19 reached 648,913 lives lost to the pandemic. In yesterday for today753 deaths were recorded. Yesterdaythe pandemic data panel marked 648,160 deaths.
There are still 3,116 deaths under investigation. Deaths under investigation occur due to the fact that there are cases in which the patient died, but the investigation of the cause to have been the covid-19 is still in progress.

The numbers are generally lower on Sundays, Mondays or the days following holidays due to the reduction of teams to feed the data. At to haveTuesdays and two days after holidays, there are usually more daily records due to the accumulation of updated data.
States
According to the balance of the Ministry of Health, at the top of the ranking of states with the most deaths from covid-19 recorded so far are São Paulo (164,516), Rio de Janeiro of January (71,723), Minas Gerais (59,589), Paraná (42,281) and Rio Grande do Sul (38,259).
The states with the fewest deaths resulting from the pandemic are Acre (1,969), Amapá (2,102), Roraima (2,131), Tocantins (4,106) and Sergipe (6,244). Two states – Acre and Mato Grosso – and the Federal District did not update data in this Saturday.
Vaccination
Up until today 371.9 million doses of vaccines against covid-19 were applied, 168.3 million with the 1st dose and 144.4 million with the 2nd dose or single dose. Another 52.1 million have already received the booster dose.
