The federal government published this Friday (25) a decree that reduces the rates of the Tax on Industrialized Products (IPI). The measure alleviates the tax burden on the production of automobiles, home appliances of the so-called white line – such as refrigerators, freezers, washing machines and dryers – and other industrialized products. For most products, the reduction was 25%. Some types of automobiles had a smaller reduction in the rate of 18.5%. Products containing tobacco had no tax reduction.
