Puebla, Pue. The state secretary of Economy, Alejandra Montielreported that they will leave 10 investment projects to the next administration so that they can specify them; some are in clean energy and the textile industry.
He commented that, due to the change of government that will take place on December 14, they will deliver the files to the new head of the state agency, Victor Gabriel Chedrauito follow up in order to land those private investments.
He indicated that support was being given to interested companies to establish themselves in Puebla; however, they are medium term projects or depending on how they are managed.
Alejandra Montiel considered it important not to lose track of these projects, since they are the result of the trade missions that were carried out in the last two years to United States, Spain, China and Germany.
He explained that they are in the stage of the transition process with the incoming administration, so they do not yet share investment projects and that they have traceability for the next six years.
“The projects are in the support stage, presenting proposals, as well as sharing the benefits of investing in the state of Puebla,” he highlighted.
He indicated that, due to confidentiality issues, he cannot detail each of these projects, because it may affect the negotiations.
In addition, he said, they were continuously receiving delegations of businessmen from various countries.
They offer tax incentives
He pointed out that the state government offers tax incentives to investors, depending on the amount and jobs generated, which is within the new Sustainable Economic Development Law.
Alejandra Montiel recalled that this year an investment was made by the German company Audi for 1,081 million dollars for its plant in the municipality of San José Chiapa, which shows that Puebla is attractive for foreign industries.
In the case of investment projects, the Secretary of Economy said that there are no letters of intent, since the important thing is to follow up and ensure that they are landed.
He highlighted that they are linked to the productive vocations of the state such as the automotive sector with the issue of electromobility and textiles.
