In October, 79% of road incidents involved motor vehicles in Táchira

The month of October concludes with a total of 107 road incidents, attended to by Civil Protection in the state, as reflected by its director Yesnardo Canal.

Within these figures, there are six people killed, five from four-wheeled vehicles and another from a motorcycle.

Motorized vehicles are the ones with the highest number of incidents with 85 cases, 20 due to four-wheeled vehicles and two due to blood-powered vehicles (bicycles).

“Once again, 79 percent of the protagonists of road events at the end of the month of October are motorized vehicles,” Canal highlighted.

On the first weekend of November, road accidents had a reduction of 15 percent, “29 incidents were recorded compared to the previous weekend,” Canal highlighted.

One of the key factors has been the articulated work of the security agencies, during the weekends, reinforcing prevention and orientation controls.
