A 15-year-old teenager, accused of murdering her brother with a stab in the Brisas del Mar sector, in Sábana de la Mar, Hato Mayor province, would have acted in self-defenseAccording to the preliminary report of the National Police.
The document details that the 17-year-old young man died from a “sharp wound in the right hemithorax,” according to the diagnosis of the medical examiner who carried out the removal of the body.
Likewise, it establishes that both brothers were having a heated argument in their residence, when the minor took a knife and stabbed her brother, causing wounds that later caused his death.
According to the preliminary version, the confrontation would have originated because the young man regularly attacked his sister and, on this occasion, she responded in self-defenseafter he hit her with a machete. The Police stated that the teenager verbally admitted the facts after being detained, according to the official statement.
The minor’s body was sent to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for the corresponding analysis. Meanwhile, the young woman is at the disposal of the competent authorities for local purposes.
