Ten ambassadors of the Republic of Panama assigned to the foreign service were considered by the Foreign Relations Commission, in its ordinary session, chaired by deputy Joan Manuel Guevara.
The ambassadors committed, in their interventions, to improve relations in their different countries, achieve international agreements on agriculture, expand scholarship programs for studies and sports, as well as improve the balance of trade exchange, increase national products towards the abroad and fight against discriminatory lists.
Miguel Humberto Lecaro Bárcenas, ambassador of Panama to the People’s Republic of China, was positive in achieving agreements that become a reality for the development of the country.
Other ambassadors appointed and who appeared before the commission to present their work plans were Humberto Eladio Jirón Espino, ambassador to the Republic of Paraguay; Juan Luis Correa, ambassador to the Argentine Republic, and José Javier Mulino Quintero, ambassador to the Portuguese Republic.
Also, Karina C. Arias Fonseca de Giannotti, ambassador of Panama to the Republic of Turkey, presented their work plans; Edwin Abel Pitty Madrid, ambassador to the Republic of Cuba; Julio César Vidal Castillo, ambassador to the Republic of Guatemala; David Castro De León, ambassador to the Republic of Belize; Jhonny Bhagwandas Mayani Harjani, ambassador to the State of Qatar, and Mario Rafael Gálvez Evers, ambassador of Panama to the Republic of Honduras.
Guevara affirmed that the ten ambassadors have presented their work plan before the Foreign Relations Commission, as established by law, among which they include promoting tourism in Panama, promoting the export of Panamanian products to the countries where they have been assigned, as well as how to market Panamanian agricultural products, and cultural and educational agreements.
Upon completion of their presentations, the legislative body proceeded to deliver them a resolution, which records their appearances and that they have complied with the established requirements.
