Petronila Yato Flores, 80 years old, died yesterday afternoon after being attacked by a bull during the celebration of the Virgin of the Rosary, in the district of Ayo, province of Castilla, region of Arequipa.
The events occurred around 3:00 p.m., when a fighting bull, known as a brave bull, escaped from the bullfight that was taking place in the local coliseum. The animal, which is bred for use in different bullfighting shows, ran through the streets of Ayo, amid the surprise and fear of the inhabitants.

In his wake, attacked four people, one of them was Patronila, who did not resist the bull’s goring. The bull also attacked the deceased’s cousin, Sandra Valdivia Ayo.who was rushed to the Aplao hospital.
According to the police the area, no more injuries were reported.
In Ayo, the feast of the Virgin of the Rosary is celebrated every year on October 10. They carry out various traditional activities, such as bullfights.
