“It is the responsibility of President Dina Boluarte to lead the fight against citizen insecurity. However, from the business sector we do not perceive that leadership,” he noted.

Bustamante assured that the Government is focused on measures to achieve “easy applause.” In addition, he recalled the initiatives that the business sector has proposed but that have not been considered by the Executive.

“We have proposed the construction of flagrante delicto centers and implementation of facial recognition cameras through works for taxes, as well as the construction of police stations and prisons through public-private partnerships, among other measures,” he indicated.

He added that the head of the Ministry of the Interior, Juan José Santiváñez, should resolve the problems of the institution he leads instead of continuing in a fight against the Prosecutor’s Office.
