The Ministry of Public Works (MOP) has announced the opening of the viaduct for the project to expand the Las Playas Corridor to 6 lanes, on the La Chorrera-Santa Cruz section, with 85% physical progress. The construction, carried out by the company Puentes y Calzadas Infraestructura SLU Sucursal Panamá, has managed to complete 100% of the main structure of the viaduct, which extends along 1,750 meters and has a 26.50 meter platform, designed for six lanes of traffic.
The MOP informs all users of the Pan-American Highway, especially those who travel along the Arraiján-La Chorrera highway section, that the viaduct will be officially inaugurated this Tuesday, September 3 at 9:00 a.m. Drivers are advised to be alert for the opening and plan their trip accordingly.
The viaduct promises to improve traffic flow on this road, facilitating more efficient and safe circulation for drivers who travel through this area, which has been undergoing expansion and modernization.
