The Minister of the Interior, Luis Alberto Heber, lamented the death of the former holder of the portfolio, Eduardo Bonomiwho had a cardiorespiratory arrest last morning.

Heber told Polideportivo, channel 12, that the news was very surprising and that from the ministry they sent condolences to Bonomi’s family, friends and political group (Popular Participation Movement and Broad Front).

“Although we had a good personal relationship, the transition (in the ministry) was with Jorge Larrañaga. I had seen him in the last interpellations, that he had a few. We did not agree on anything, but he was loyal in the discussion. We disagreed a lot but we respected each other a lot as people,” he said.

The hierarch assured that being Minister of the Interior is a task that has a lot of stress behind it, “because you have to provide security, support and motivate the police, so that people see them on the street. Support the police legally and not just morally and politically, which is what the LUC does”.
