Lucas Dylan Goldner, just 16 years old, won the gold medal for Panama at the World Jiu-Jitsu League, held in Stockton, California, United States. This renowned competition attracts the best Jiu-Jitsu athletes in the area.
After months of intense preparation at the Rice Brothers’ senior training camp in Redding, California, Lucas overcame an arm injury to take on the region’s top competitors.
With a gladiator’s determination and hours of arduous training, Lucas prevailed in all of his fights, achieving victories by submission in each bout in the 140 to 150-pound youth blue belt category.
David Beluche, Lucas’ coach and Legacy Jiu-Jitsu representative in Albrook, expressed his pride in his pupil’s achievements: “Lucas never stops working hard. Here at Legacy, we try to create a fertile environment for champions to be born in everything they set out to do in life, not just in Jiu-Jitsu.”
Lucas’ Jiu-Jitsu story began at the early age of 4, and since then he has not stopped perfecting his technique. Now, at 16, he has a team that includes psychological advisors, nutritionists, crossfit experts, and his faithful coach, David Beluche, who has guided him for a decade.
From California, Lucas shared his formula for success: “Succeeding requires having the discipline to make the decision to be a champion every day and creating daily habits to reach your goals. Every child can live their dreams as long as they connect processes and effort on the path to success.”
Lucas Goldner’s triumph is a testament to his dedication and passion for Jiu-Jitsu. His sporting story inspires other young people to pursue their dreams with discipline and determination, proving that with the right approach, any goal is achievable.
