Hitler Cigarruista, a financial specialist, analyzes the expenses that Panamanians make with their thirteenth-month paycheck. According to a study by Konzerta, 50% will use this money to pay off debts.
Cigarrista pointed out that there are Panamanians who are carried away by offers that are often not real, so he recommends that consumers walk around and compare prices in different stores.
He said that for the average Panamanian it is very difficult to save for the thirteenth month because most of them do not have enough basic salary. “The basic basket alone exceeds 300 dollars a month.”
