The Director General of the National Police, Jaime Fernández, met with members of the Vigilant Banks Program and members of the National Banking Association, which brings together Directors, Chiefs and Heads of security offices of various banking entities in the country, with a view to exchanging information and getting to know each other personally.
After thanking the representatives of the various banking entities for their presence, Fernández said that this initiative was agreed upon with a view to exchanging ideas in order to improve and update the security mechanisms in the national banking center.
For his part, Mr. Jaime Berry, President of the Banking Association of Panama, described the meeting as extremely important, through which actions and security mechanisms will be coordinated for both banks and their clients.
Commissioners Jorge Domínguez, Valdemar Herrera, Edgardo Núñez, José Melamed, and Irving Castillo, among others, were present at this meeting, with whom the members of the bank exchanged ideas and opinions concerning the subject.
