The Cabinet Council lifted the State of Emergency, which made direct contracts more flexible

The Cabinet Council, headed by President José Raúl Mulino, approved today, Tuesday, Cabinet Resolution No. 66-24 of July 23, 2024, which definitively lifts the State of National Emergency declared by the previous Government, through Cabinet Resolution No. 11 of March 13, 2020, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2021, the Cabinet Council, through Cabinet Resolution No. 129 of December 29, 2021, declared the term for the use of the special procedure for the acquisition of goods, services or works that was applied during the pandemic concluded.

However, that same resolution, in its article 3, maintained in force the extraordinary social, economic and health measures adopted by the Executive Branch as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Today, the Cabinet Council lifted all these extraordinary social, economic and health measures that were still in force and that were adopted by the previous Government.
This Cabinet Resolution repeals in all its parts Cabinet Resolution No. 11 of March 13, 2020 and Cabinet Resolution No. 129 of December 29, 2021.
