The construction project of the new National Oncology Institute (ION) in its Phase 1, is in the bidding process awaiting a new date for the presentation of proposals by the participating companies.
Currently, the bidding stage is in the process of a claim by one of the proposing companies to the General Directorate of Public Contracting, so a date is expected to be available soon to carry out said act.
The new Oncology will have an investment of B/.72,737,733.30, which in its first phase focuses on the construction of an institute that complies with the strictest technical regulations and hospital standards, prioritizing comfort and functionality for both patients and medical staff. .
The vertical building will have a size of 9,082.98 m2, which includes the design of a hotel for patients and families, updated medical equipment such as linear accelerators, X-ray robotics in imaging, among others.
The design and construction of the electricity system, drinking water, parking lots, and internal streets is also contemplated.
According to the Department of Records and Statistics of the ION, the work that will be located in the community of Clayton, township of Ancón, will benefit 114,798 inhabitants, who require medical treatment to treat Cancer disease.
