The Sao Paulo goalkeeper enters Dorival Junior’s list for the Manchester City goalkeeper, who suffers an injury to his right eye
The Brazilian coach Dorival Junior has replaced to the injured goalkeeper Ederson by Raphael of Sao Paulo in their squad for the Copa América. Manchester City’s Ederson has a broken right eye socket. Júnior, who took over as coach of the national team in January, already has Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson and Athletico Paranaense goalkeeper Bento in the squad. Juventus defender Bremer, Atalanta midfielder Éderson and Porto striker Pepe joined the team on Sunday night.

The South American soccer federation, CONMEBOL, decided on Thursday to allow expanded squads of 26 players instead of the usual 23. The Argentine champion had already requested that the number of players for the tournament be expanded. The Copa América starts on June 20 in the United States. Brazil will play its first match against Costa Rica on June 24, but before that it will play friendlies against the United States and Mexico. The deadline for teams to submit their final rosters is June 12.
