The Supreme Court accepted the request and granted the visiting minister of the Court Martial, Romy Rutherford, a six-month extension in the term to continue with “exclusive dedication” in the investigation into the Fraud in the Army case.
The decision made by the plenary session of the Supreme Court was adopted after receiving a report made by the visiting minister of the Martial Court, Leopoldo Llanos Sagristá. The resolution details the arguments for its approval.
“The main thing, with the account given, taking into account the complexity and extension of the matter that motivates the request and with the purpose of tending to greater speeding up in its processing, the request is granted and, consequently, the request is relieved. Minister of the Court of Appeals of Santiago Mrs. Romy Rutherford Parentti to join the Chamber and Plenary of that court and the Court Martial of the Army, Air Force and Carabineros, from March 2 and until August 31, 2022, to continue with exclusive dedication”, states the document.
“Pronounced by the President of the Supreme Court, Mr. Juan Eduardo Fuentes Belmar and the Ministers, Mr. Muñoz G., Brito, Silva G. and Blanco, Mrs. Muñoz S., Messrs. Valderrama and Prado, Mrs. Vivanco, Messrs. Silva C. and Llanos, Mrs. Ravanales, Mr. Carroza and alternates Messrs. Biel, Muñoz P., Gómez, Mera, Vázquez and Contreras. Authorizes the Minister of Faith of the Hon. Supreme Court”, concludes the letter.
