The Regional Governor of Junín, Fernando Orihuela Rojas, stated that for the Junín region they have requested some 40,000 doses, meanwhile the balances of vaccines that remain to cover the pending vaccination. In addition, it is expected that the Minsa will deliver the doses for the Junín region today, which is one of the regions that leads vaccination in children between 5 and 11 years of age and therefore they expect it to arrive in a timely manner.
The director of the Red Valle del Mantaro, Enrique Porras explained that they apply an average of 2,500 doses daily, and therefore the 5,900 vaccines are finished in two days. Even so, he mentioned that there would be no inconveniences, to start the application of the second dose today, since being the jurisdiction with the most population, there is always a greater quantity of vaccines available.
It is worth mentioning that on January 24, some 3,500 children between the ages of 10 and 11 received the first dose of the vaccine and today they are due for the second dose, which is noted on the vaccination card that was given to the parents, the health personnel and with whom they must return today. Likewise, he commented that there have been no complications with vaccinated children, and therefore they urge parents to return for the second dose.

Of the 25,000 doses of Astrazeneca vaccines that were destined for Huancayo and Concepción, health personnel have already applied 19,000 and only 9,000 remain whose goal is to use the second and third doses, so that no vaccine expires.
