Wife of a Panamanian diplomat attacked the concierge of a building in Argentina

The wife of a Panamanian diplomat in Argentina physically and verbally assaulted a concierge of a building in Buenos Aires later, the woman has two broken ribs and assures that she fears for her life since she has received threats from both the Panamanian official and her partner.

After this case became known, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Panama decided to withdraw the diplomat accredited at the Embassy of Panama in Buenos Aires, as well as his family, “given that the conditions do not exist to keep him in said headquarters.”

They stressed that the head of the diplomatic delegation of Panama is aware of the unfortunate events that occurred and has made contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina, in order to make us available to the corresponding authorities to collaborate in the clarification of the facts that are indicated and inform the return of the official and his family to Panama.

In a statement, the Ministry rejected any act of violence and reaffirmed that the conduct of officials accredited in the Foreign Service must reflect, at all times and in each of their actions, the respect and consideration that Panama assigns to their relations with the Receiving State where they are accredited.
