Health care is a priority for everyone, and in this sense, the Government of Chile has implemented an initiative that seeks to facilitate preventive medical examinations for workers. Through a modification to the Labor Code, a special permit was established that allows employees to perform exams such as mammograms, prostate exams, and Pap smears without deducting work time. job.

This permission it can be used once a year and is applicable to workers with labor contracts of more than 30 days. It is important to take into account that the benefit must be requested one week in advance, notifying the employer of the date on which the preventive exams will be carried out. Subsequently, proof of medical care must be presented to prove that the exams were carried out at the stipulated time.
