Copei supports Venezuela’s presence at the EU-Celac summit

The Deputy to the National Assembly (AN) for Copei, Juan Carlos Alvarado, highlighted the holding of the III Summit of the European Union and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (EU-Celac).

Alvarado pointed out that the meeting is not only important for the countries of the region, but also for the European community, reports a press release.

In this sense, he supported the presence of Venezuela in this space, qualifying it as conducive to conquering historical consensus for the development of nations; stating that the Venezuelan people await the search for solutions to the serious crisis in our country.

On the other hand, Alvarado reiterated his rejection of the European Parliament resolution on the disqualifications in Venezuela. In this sense, he assured that what Venezuelans want from the international community is for them to help solve the problems, and not for said parliament to try to join the internal political debate.

“Here we have a serious social crisis, in terms of health, in terms of education, wages, social demands. People are hoping that there is not a hidden strategy here to reactivate the street confrontation, it would be very unfortunate because it would be a setback for the country,” said the leader from Copey.

EU representatives will not touch Venezuelan soil again

Last Thursday, July 13, the president of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Jorge Rodriguezasserted that representatives of the European Union will not touch Venezuelan soil again, while the revolutionary forces are part of the institutions, after different violations of agreements.

“I tell you Joseph Borrell, no European Observation Mission will come here, as long as we are the representatives of the Venezuelan State, they will not come, they violated the agreement we signed with them. We are brave, we are rebellious, we are decent unlike them and we do not murder anyone, ”he pointed out.

In this sense, he urged the European Union to be concerned about the acts of corruption that may be taking place within Parliament, and about other situations that are taking place on the continent, such as the riots in France. —for the murder of a 17-year-old boy by police— or the situation registered by the conflict in Ukraine, where the EU has encouraged and supported the war and sanctions against Russia, affecting society.

“Take care of your own corruption (…) worry about the riots in France,” said the president of Parliament.

On the other hand, he once again demanded that the European Union return the assets and goods belonging to the Venezuelan people and that are sequestered in financial institutions, as a result of the sanctions that have been promoted by the right and the West.

“Give us back the four billion dollars that are in the European financial institutions, give us back the gold held in England. They are ours, the people of Venezuela. These (the EU) representatives of civilization, blocked in June of the year 21, the payment that President (Nicolás) Maduro made for the Covax mechanism for the pandemic vaccines, ”he recalled.
