Antonio Ecarri launched his presidential candidacy: “nobody wants the PSUV or the MUD”

The Superior Council of the social and political movement Alianza del Lápiz specified the decision taken in a first debate of regional delegates from 20 states of the country, and this Saturday in a massive act that brought together more than 700 delegates, between regional and local, proclaimed the lawyer Antonio Ecarri as the presidential candidate of this political party.

Acclaimed by the crowd present, Ecarri accepted the challenge, pledging to leave the times of conflict behind and focus all his efforts on guaranteeing “three courses of food on the table of Venezuelans”, in addition to putting education as the priority on the agenda. national. He likewise emphasized oil reform and economic and monetary policies.

When delving into international political matters, the spokesman for Lápiz questioned whether Venezuela is still -in his opinion- kidnapped by two minority movements, which today have the rejection of 70% of Venezuelans.

Given this, he made a respectful call to the European Union, personifying it in Ursula Von Der Leyen, president of the European Commission, so that it is not left alone with the version of those who continue to ask to isolate Venezuela, for not representing more than one group extremist and today a minority of Venezuelans.

“Both the PSUV and the MUD are canceled in Venezuela, nobody wants them. Mrs. Von Der Leyen, the European Union has to listen to the independent and emerging movements in Venezuela,” said Ecarri to demand this from the entire international community, including from the White House to presidents Lula da Silva and Alberto Fernández.

Highlighting that the popular movement that the Pencil represents is nationalist and that the country hurts them, the presidential standard-bearer questioned the position of Nicolás Maduro and Jorge Rodríguez, regarding these events. «You two (Nicolás Maduro and Jorge Rodríguez), you lower me two, the international community has to come to monitor the elections, period. This is not interference,” he added.

Recently, political rapprochements have been known between Ecarri and the Cambiemos and Avanzada Progresista parties, former members of the Aliazna Democrática and now far from the awnings intervened by the TSJ.
