FANB unearths engines of environmental destruction in Bolívar

The Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, Domingo Hernández Lárez, reported this Saturday that troops found buried in a forest, in the state of Bolívar, 14 engines used for environmental destruction.

This was announced through his Twitter account in which he indicated that the tasks are carried out within the framework of search operations, detection and dismantling of illegal activities in the forest reserves and national parks of the Bolívar state.

“In search operations, detection and dismantling of illegal activities in the forest reserves and national parks of the Bolívar state, #FANB It is deployed in the gallery forests of the Sucre municipality of Bolívar state, specifically at the coordinates 7° 34′ 63.7″ N / 65° 17′ 57″ W. Managing to unearth in a forest the amount of fourteen (14) motors, used for environmental destruction”, published Hernández Lárez.

Likewise, this same Saturday and in correspondence with the activities against environmental destruction, the head of the Ceofanb published a tweet in which the destruction of a mining raft is appreciated.

In this regard, Hernández Lárez points out “Mining rafts are prohibited, as they are multiplying factors of environmental destruction. The Natural Parks, Forest Reserves and Hydrographic Basins are Areas Under the Special Administration Regime where all types of mining activities are prohibited”.

The FANB seeks to guarantee compliance with the Regulations of the Organic Law for the Planning of the Territory on the Administration and Management of National Parks and Natural Monuments, in protection and sovereignty of these environments.

National parks are strategic areas for the development of the country. Its biodiversity, ecosystems and values ​​constitute areas of balance and environmental conservation.
