President Maduro promotes "strong bloc" of unity with the Caribbean

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, thanked the solidarity of the governments and peoples of the Caribbean with their Venezuelan counterparts, and extended his hand to strengthen alliances and build a strong bloc of unity and well-being.

Through his account on the social network twitter, the president highlighted the strength and brotherhood of the Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy, which will also be promoted with the sister nations of the Caribbean.

“Venezuela will always be twinned with the noble and fighting peoples of the Caribbean, within the framework of our Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy. We will deepen the alliances, we will build a strong block of unity and common welfare to achieve victory. Long live the union of Venezuela and the Caribbean!” the president wrote.

Recently, Venezuela has received the solidarity of the Caribbean countries against the sanctions imposed by the United States, while they have expressed their willingness to resume the Venezuelan initiative of PetroCaribe, which allowed them to acquire oil at cheaper prices.

“In the Caribbean we suffered enormously,” Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit said after the three-day meeting. “People should be allowed to live, especially in these difficult times.”

Skerrit and Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Keith Rowley said the matter was raised with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who attended the summit in Trinidad.
