Argentina offered help to Uruguay to face the water crisis, reported the weekly Búsqueda and confirmed The Observedr with government sources from both countries.

The government of Luis Lacalle Pou thanked Argentine President Alberto Fernández for his help.

The Uruguayan authorities assured that they are in contact with the government of the neighboring country and seeing “how the situation evolves.”

The leaders met this Tuesday at the Mercosur summit in Puerto Iguazú, Argentina. Alberto Fernández received Lacalle Pou with a hug and then a handshakebetween some laughs, as could be seen in the broadcast of the event.

Then, the uruguayan president gave a speech where he once again insisted on making the block more flexible.
