Fernando Diniz, Fluminense coach and presented this Wednesday as the new interim coach of Brazil, refused to give any information about the possible arrival of the Italian at Canarinha Carlo Ancelotti in the middle of 2024.
“I am not going to go into the Ancelotti matter. That is a matter for the president (of the Brazilian Football Confederation, CBF). I’m going to talk about my style of play”, Diniz stated at the press conference he gave when he was introduced as the new coach of the five-time world champion team.

Diniz, who will continue as Fluminense’s coach during his time as the team’s interim, will assume the position instead of Ramón Menezes, coach of the Sub-20 and that he had been exercising the function after Tite’s resignation.
Diniz will make his debut as Canarinha coach next September, when Brazil will face Bolivia and Peru in the South American qualifiers for the World Cup 2026.
Canarinha has been without a coach since December last year when Adenor Leonardo Bacchi, better known as ‘Tite’, he said goodbye as coach after the elimination in the quarterfinals of the World Cup in Qatar 2022 against Croatia.
