The residents of the municipality of Waspam, in the North Caribbean of Nicaragua, are dismayed after the death of three little brothers, who drowned when they bathed in the Sukuas River.
The victims were identified as Medardo Antonio, 7 years old, Domingo Eliteh, 9 years old, and Maikel Benjamín Araúz Hernández, 10 years old. Although the tragedy occurred on Saturday afternoon, when the heavy rains from the passage of Tropical Wave No. 4 fell, the bodies of the minors were found early this Sunday.

The minors belong to a family that owns a farm in the Wisconsin community, Tasba Raya territory, Waspam municipality, detailed local media. Supposedly, the children were swept away by the strong currents of the river, a product of the rains that fell in the national territory.

Local information details that a carelessness of the parents caused the tragedy, since they left them bathing without any supervision. After an intense day of searching along the Sukuas River, the community members found the bodies in the Walpa Tantah sector.
The bodies of the children were transferred to the Santa Rita neighborhood, in the municipality of Bonanza, in the Autonomous Region of the North Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua, where they originated.
It is known that the minors were under the care of a young woman because her father was working in agriculture near the scene of the tragedy and her mother had left for Managua. The family had moved to the Wisconsin community to work in agriculture, detailed neighbors of the victims, who still do not believe the tragedy.
