Five members of a criminal organization were killed in Valencia (Carabobo) after confronting agents of the Bolivarian National Police (GNP), attached to the Directorate Against Organized Crime.
The subjects were sheltered in a house in the Los Triunfadores sector of Parque Valencia, from where they began the exchange of shots with the police officers.
In the midst of the shooting, the agents entered the La Isabelica ambulatory to several wounded who died within minutes.
The dejected are known by the nicknames of El Cachorro, El Negro, El Feo, Jeancarlito, and El Chucho, members of the Leo Maracay gang.
The subjects possessed a submachine gun, three 9mm pistols and a .38 revolver, according to the police report.
