The woman’s body was found burned in a dump truck; The man must comply with 90 days of preventive detention as a precautionary measure

The Rivera Second Shift Court charged this Monday a 25-year-old man who allegedly hit, strangled and burned a woman in a dump truck. The young man is the main suspect since last Sunday, when the crime was committed.
The alleged perpetrator of the crime has preventive detention for 90 days as a precautionary measure, while the judicial investigation progresses. Rivera’s prosecutor, Alejandra Domínguez, said that “the man allegedly committed homicide, especially aggravated by femicide and arson,” in statements to Underlined (Channel 10).
According to the reconstruction of the prosecution, “the defendant met the victim at dawn yesterday (…) They knew each other before but they weren’t a couple“said the prosecutor in the case.
“He took her by force to the house and returned with her beaten, he dragged her towards the dump truck through his arm and caused her death by mechanical suffocation, (later) he throws it into the dump truck where there was already a fire lit“said prosecutor Domínguez.
The police had found the body of a woman burned inside a dump truck last Sunday morning in the Pueblo Nuevo de Rivera neighborhoodsources from the Rivera Police Headquarters confirmed to The Observer.
