Venezuela expressed its willingness to strengthen relations with Türkiye, after the appointment of the new Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Eastern European country.
Through your account at Twitter social networkthe Minister for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, welcomed the appointment of Hakan Fidan as chancellor and advocated continuing to work on an agenda “of relations, which today reaches an unprecedented level based on the principles of solidarity and complementarity.”
“We congratulate the new chancellor of the sister Republic of Türkiye??, Hakan Fidan, we wish him success in his management. We will continue working on the deep relationship agenda, which today reaches an unprecedented level based on the principles of solidarity and complementarity,” wrote the Venezuelan foreign minister.
On the other hand, he highlighted the work carried out by his predecessor Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu for “the deepening of bilateral relations”, and asserted that under his management “the defense of legality and support” to both nations against the attacks of western countries.
“We thank @MevlutCavusoglu ?? for their invaluable contribution to deepening bilateral relations. Under his management we remained firm in defense of legality and support for our nations against imperial attacks. We wish him the best of success in his future,” he stressed on the social network.

Venezuela and Türkiye maintain more than 40 cooperation agreements, which exceeded 850 million dollars in 2021; in areas such as defense, air and maritime transport, trade, finance, education, tourism, agriculture, science and technology.
