Various questions have been raised about the promotion of a “clustered water”. The new head of Health, Hernán Condori Manchado, clarified last Wednesday that this product is patented and has permission from Digemid, Digesa and the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). However, this has been denied.

According to the NHT Global website, the company that makes Cluster X2, this product “is purified water that has been raised to a high level of electromagnetic power,” and clarifies that “these statements have not been evaluated” by the FDA. In addition, it is not authorized by Digemid. It only has the health registry of the Digesa as food, but not as a supplement or medicine.
WHAT IS ARRACIMATED WATER?
But what is clustered water? As detailed by Condori in a video on social networks, “it is a water with its molecules ordered, like a hexagon”. In addition, he points out that we are born with this and as the years go by, we lose it.

He explains that this loss is “causing a series of metabolic disorders” that “generate diseases.” Therefore, it is recommended to consume the Cluster X2 since it can solve these problems by ingesting it throughout the day. To do this, you only have to dilute a capful of clustered water in a liter of spring water.
According to the Cannabis Vida Peru website, the Cluster X2 would cost S/ 300 for a content of 118 ml. It is detailed that “it prevents cellular dehydration, recovers the levels of hydration lost due to aging. In addition, it helps remove cellular waste and toxins from cells, and facilitates the transport of nutrients at the cellular level.
SPECIALISTS SPEAK OUT
Regarding the promotion of clustered water by Minister Condori, the Research Director of the Scientific University of the South, Percy Mayta-Tristán, considers that these facts make it clear that the head of the Minsa does not have a good scientific basis. “He is not someone who takes science as part of his actionsbut rather, since it recommends this type of product, it seeks an economic benefit beyond the health of its patients”.
While, Álvaro Taype-Rondán, an epidemiologist and researcher at the San Ignacio de Loyola University, told El Comercio that the issue of clustered water is not new and that it has already spread in other countries.
“Supposedly, the water, which has been restructured at the molecular level, would have benefits, such as reducing the passage of age, strengthening the immune system, etc. There are two very deep questions here. The first is that anyone who knows chemistry understands that water molecules do not remain static in a single structure. Because, this type of pseudoscience is not even given a chance, since it has not a minimum chemical support. The second issue is that the benefits associated with clustered water have not been demonstrated in any clinical trial. We are facing a pseudoscientific scam.”
ELMER HUERTA QUESTIONS THE MINISTER
For his part, Dr. Elmer Huerta questioned that a “snake oil seller” is in front of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) during the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).
“He is the promoter of a substance called ‘Aguas arracimadas’ which, from a scientific point of view, even won a prize in 2014 -in quotes- in parody for the worst product there can be”, He pointed out during his Sanmente program.
Along these lines, Huerta questioned his appointment to the Health portfolio in the midst of the third wave of the coronavirus. “The big question is: can Peru at this time of pandemic and in the future have a Minister of Health who is a seller of snake oil? that is the question”, he asserted.
