Peralta stated that he was able to speak with the director in charge of the entity, Carlos Ordoñez, who told him that he will serve this group of taxi drivers in the capital city next week.
A tiny group of taxi drivers from Chitré chained themselves up this Thursday morning at the headquarters of the Land Traffic and Transportation Authority (ATTT) of the province of Herrera to demand that the granting of operating certificates be complied with.
The director of the ATTT of Herrera, Efraín Peralta, said that these taxi drivers are part of seven groups that were processing these certifications.
“When the scandal came out in the ATTT of the granting of the quota sale, we did not complete the procedures. We made an inventory and asked the ATTT of Panama if it was feasible to do the procedures or not, and an internal audit was carried out on these seven groups and what it showed is that they did not meet the requirements and the procedures were paralyzed. We are waiting for Legal Counsel to make the resolution to rule that this occurs, “explained the official.
Peralta stated that he was able to speak with the director in charge of the entity, Carlos Ordoñez, who told him that he will serve this group of taxi drivers in the capital city next week.
