The orchestra The Van Van continues his tour of the United States after the death this Friday in New York of the musician Juan Carlos Formell, to whom he will dedicate his next performances.
In a message to their followers this Saturday, the popular group regretted death de Formell after suffering a heart attack during a concert, and confirmed the continuation of the artistic journey, in which, he assured, he will be “paying tribute to Juan Carlos in each presentation.”
“Everyone who has ever met them knows how special they were as a human being, as a professional and as a musician. We are all destroyed by this news”, the orchestra published on its social networks.
“We are left with the joy that his last moments were on stage giving everything for our music, for our family, for Los Van Van and for their fans,” the message states.
“We inform our fans that the tour in the United States continues, we will be paying tribute to Juan Carlos in each presentation, in each musical note, in each Vanvanero choir as Juanca would have wished,” Los Van Van confirmed.
Hours later, Los Van Van announced their next presentation in San Francisco, where, they said, they would be especially honoring Juan Carlos Formell, bassist of the group and son of its founder, maestro Juan Formell.

Juan Carlos Formell passed away on the night of this Friday, May 26. The 59-year-old musician had to leave the concert that Los Van Van offered at the Lehman Center in The Bronx, as a result of a heart attack, which he finally did not overcome.
His death has caused consternation among the many followers of Los Van Van around the world, and has motivated numerous messages of condolences, including from President Miguel Díaz-Canel and other Cuban authorities, entities such as the Cuban Institute of Music, and artists and musical groups, both inside and outside the island.
In accordance with the agency Latin Press (PL)this weekend the orchestra was scheduled to perform in the Californian cities of San Francisco and San Diego, and then, as of June 3, travel to Europe, where they have concerts scheduled in various countries, including Spain.
