MEF: Gustavo Guerra García resigned from the Vice Ministry of Finance

Gustavo Guerra García resigned this Thursday from the Vice Ministry of Finance of the a position he held since August 2021, when he replaced Betty Sotelo Bazán.

Supreme Resolution No. 002-2022-EF provides for his departure from office and is signed by the head of the MEF, Oscar Graham, and President Pedro Castillo.

Gustavo Guerra García Picasso is an economist from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and has a master’s degree in Public Management from Georgetown University, in the United States.

The economist is a specialist in the formulation of public investment projects and an expert in institutional reforms, he has more than 20 years of experience in private and public management, working for various international organizations, such as the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank and others.

In 2001, Gustavo Guerra García held the position of General Director of Intersectoral Coordination of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and later he was Deputy Minister of Transport (2001-2002). In addition, he served as technical secretary of the National Assembly of Regional Governments and was president of the board of directors of ProTransporte (2013-2014) and of the Metropolitan Investment Fund (2012).
