La Libertad: 20 dead after a bus fell into a deep abyss (VIDEO)

Some 20 dead and more than 30 injured left the mistake of a bus from the “Picaflor” transport company, which ended up falling into an abyss 100 meters deep on the Tayabamba – Huancaspata route, Pataz province, in the La Libertad region. .

The accident occurred on the afternoon of this Wednesday, February 9, when the unit lost its way and fell into an abyss in the Culebrilla sector, near the Rangras River.

According to recorded images, the structure of the bus was completely destroyed and, as a result, 20 passengers lost their lives.

The Regional Health Management of La Libertad reported that a total of 33 people were injured of varying severity. They were transferred in five units to different health centers.

Among the deceased there are four minors and, until the closing of this note, some bodies are still in the area waiting to be transferred.

According to the version of the survivors, the bus driver would have lost control of the vehicle due to the mud on the road.
