The businessmen affirm that the project that modifies the law does not contemplate all the observations of the international organization

The business chambers were satisfied con the project with modifications to the Collective Bargaining Law that was approved by Parliament on Wednesday 10. The changes respond to suggestions that the International Labor Organization (ILO) he did to Uruguay more than a decade ago. The project complies with most of the international organization’s requests, but omitted one that refers to the competence of the Salary Councils. For that reason, heUruguayan employers will maintain the complaint they have filed with the ILO that had as one of its foundations that aspect of salary negotiation.
