A total of 50 people were rescued from a vessel that failed on the high seas, according to a report from the Coastal Surveillance Division.
The rescue occurred in Punta Arenas, Cruz Salmerón Acosta municipality (Araya), Sucre state. The military went to that site after receiving a phone call.
The people object of the rescue were in the boat-type vessel named El Patroncito, without registration, which presented mechanical failures in the outboard motor.
The Coastal Surveillance officers carried out a towing maneuver to the port of the dock located in Cumaná (Sucre) where they were offered first aid.
