Venezuela and Russia review common agenda on geopolitics in Unesco

The information was released through his account on the social network Twitter by the Venezuelan ambassador to UNESCO, Rodulfo Pérez, who held a meeting with the permanent representative of Russia to UNESCO, Rynat Alyautdinov.

“Today we are working on a common agenda with His Excellency the Ambassador of @unesco_russia Rynat Alyautdinov. The world is facing a new situation; multipolarity, respect for the will of the people and democracy have a future on the horizon”, the Ambassador published on Twitter.

During the meeting, both the ambassadors of Venezuela and Russia evaluated the role of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) in terms of rejecting the dollar as an international trade currency.

They also worked on the issue of the dependence of the United States and Europe on fossil energy sources, “their continuous clumsiness in international politics,” which has led to a new world situation.

Venezuela and Russia strengthened their bilateral relations on April 18 after the meeting between the President of the Republic, Nicolás Ripeand the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergei Lavrov.

The national President said in his official account on the social network Twitter that this meeting “strengthens bilateral relations and the map of joint cooperation in various areas of the development of our nations.”

Cooperation agreements will be accelerated

The relationships between Venezuela and Russia They continue to advance and it is evident after the meeting also on April 18 between the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, and his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, who held a meeting in Caracas where they analyzed the strategic alliances that are maintained between both nations.

“We are going to continue working to strengthen these relations between two strategic partners such as the Russian Federation and Venezuela,” Gil stressed.

Both foreign ministers reviewed the cooperation agreements in agriculture – where there will be great advances in import and export issues, transportation, air and maritime interconnection, military; among other points for the construction of a multipolar world.

In this sense, he highlighted the work carried out by Venezuela and Russia to “agree on and coordinate the position” of both nations in the different multilateral forums in which they meet.

Gil stressed that the agreements reached at the end of 2022 will be accelerated, through the Russia-Venezuela High-level Intergovernmental Commission.

Both nations will continue advancing in energy, financial, commercial and air and maritime interconnection cooperation.
