Ambulance stolen from Calobre Health Center

During the early hours of today, Friday the 21st, the ambulance assigned to the Calobre Health Center was stolen, a Toyota Land Cruiser ambulance with license plate G08840.

The Ministry of Health reported that the complaint was filed before the corresponding entities, so that the investigations could be initiated and comply with due process, “it is highlighted that the vehicle key is kept at the Calobre Health Center and the copy rests in the regional transport office in the city of Santiago, “explains the statement.

Reina Velarde, regional director, expressed that this unfortunate fact mainly affects the residents of the Calobre district, since it threatens their health and life; In the same way, the Ministry of Health is affected, since it reduces the response capacity that this facility can provide in the event of a medical emergency.

The doctor stressed that a contingency plan will be put in place to cover this health facility with an ambulance.

For his part, Deputy Commissioner José Córdoba, Executive of the Veraguas Police Zone, refers to the operational actions that are carried out together with the Public Ministry, to find its location.
